ACM Board of Directors


The primary objective of ACM's Board of Directors is to guide and provide input to the strategic direction of the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) and to help grow ACM’s capacity to do its work through networking and participation in fundraising activities.

The ACM Board of Directors is made up of Individual or Organizational Members of the ACM. Board members are expected to participate actively in board and committee meetings, be faithful ambassadors and communicators of the organization’s positions, make meaningful contributions by helping the organization achieve its fund and leadership development goals, and exercise proper fiduciary care. Board Members may not be a paid staff member of the ACM.
 

2020 CALL FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATIONS

The Alliance for Community Media is now seeking nominations for two At-Large seats on the National Board.

Qualifications and Basic Expectations
- Board members must be Individual, Lifetime, Organizational or Secondary members of the Alliance for Community Media.
- Board Members may not be paid staff members of the ACM.
- The ACM National Board is a policy governance board requiring hands-on management of the organization.
-Board members are expected to participate actively in board and committee meetings, be faithful ambassadors and communicators of the organization's positions, contribute meaningfully to helping the organization achieve its fund and leadership development goals, and exercise proper fiduciary care.

Board members help ACM advance its mission to advocate, promote and preserve the right to media training, production, distribution, civic engagement and education in support of diverse community voices, through Public, Educational and Government Access channels and other forms of media.

Candidates for these two-year positions are confirmed by a vote of ACM members in good standing, with terms beginning at the National Board's Meeting in November 2020.
