Facilities Re-Opening Roundtable

The total number of vaccinations to fight Covid-19 across the country have been increasing steadily the last four months, and now many communities are determining how to re-open facilities closed by the pandemic.

That’s the discussion happening at media centers and PEG channels across the US as well.  And the questions about protocols and requirements for opening are complex.

We’ll be hosting a nationwide discussion with community media operations about re-opening and the challenges we face on Friday, May 14. Come with the questions and solutions you are thinking about.

Register for the Zoom conversation today! Joining instructions will be sent closer to the call.

Davis Media Access Annual Report

How organizations have been resilient in the last year is a key story to tell for community media.
Davis Media Access did a nice job of that with their video Annual Report for 2020 https://youtu.be/FgIzTdb4_b8.  Great work!

If you have similar stories to share – or a video version of an annual report - send us a link at info@allcommunitymedia.org.

FCC’s Emergency Broadband Benefit

The FCC’s Emergency Broadband Benefit program starts on May 12 – and will provide discounts on broadband service and devices to qualified low-income households across the US.  We’re encouraging stations to promote the service in their communities. You can be an outreach partner of the FCC program by registering here. The site also features an outreach toolkit.

Starting 5/12, households can sign up for the program if it’s available in their area here.
