Scholarships
Donations to the Foundation of the Alliance for Community Media in part support our annual scholarships. Scholarship winners are honored at our Annual Conference. Click on the titles below for more information on each scholarship type, or make a tax-deductible donation today!
This scholarship provides $1,000 in college financial assistance to an individual currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in media arts, broadcast journalism, community & public service, government administration, public education administration or teaching. Individuals submit an essay detailing how their studies promote the values of former Board of Directors Chair Brian Wilson.
The Foundation of the Alliance for Community Media awards scholarships to community media professionals to attend the Alliance for Community Media's Annual Conference. Each scholarship includes full conference registration, lodging, and travel assistance.
We believe in the importance of cultivating leaders in community media: to train them, nourish them, and to encourage their growth. This is why we have set up the Grassroots Scholarship Fund. The Grassroots Scholarship Fund supports the travel and education costs for community media producers and staff who can’t typically afford professional development.
