Community Media Keeps Us Connected: Addressing Isolation and Promoting Social Well-Being.

The Inclusion Equity and Engagement Caucus of the Alliance for Community Media invites you to attend their annual business meeting on October 6th.  The meeting will feature Kasley Killam as the keynote speaker, followed by a brief business agenda for the IEE Caucus. 

Description: In this presentation, you will learn how community media can inform, inspire, and improve your viewers’ social well-being. Our speaker, Kasley Killam, will share the science of how social isolation and loneliness impact people’s health and discuss how this issue affects older adults in particular. She will show that community media has a powerful role to play in helping viewers feel connected and recommend opportunities to create educational programming about this topic. There will also be time for Q&A and discussion.
