This scholarship provides $1,000 in college financial assistance to an individual currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in media arts, broadcast journalism, community & public service, government administration, public education administration or teaching. Individuals submit an essay detailing how their studies promote the values of former Board of Directors Chair Brian Wilson.
The Foundation of the Alliance for Community Media awards scholarships to community media professionals to attend the Alliance for Community Media's Annual Conference. Each scholarship includes full conference registration, lodging, and travel assistance.
The Inclusion, Equity and Engagement (IEE) Caucus believes in the importance of cultivating leaders in community media: to train them, nourish them, and to encourage their growth. In an effort to facilitate continued education for our future leaders, IEE will be offering Grassroots Scholarships for those interested in attending the Annual Conference. This year, the Grassroots Scholarships will support the education costs (conference registration) for community media producers and staff who can't typically afford professional development. IEE Caucus will be sponsoring these scholarships to ACM members.
IEE Caucus will be accepting applications from those interested in applying for a scholarship to attend the Virtual Annual Conference which will be held from June 29 - July 1. Members can apply beginning May 3. Applications will be accepted through May 28. IEE will make selections in early June so recipients will be able to register before the conference deadline on June 22.
