Sign Up for the Community Media Emerging Leaders Institute at the Conference

January 14, 2019

One of the highlights of this year’s National Conference in Portland, OR will be the expanded leadership training that will happen on the Monday and Tuesday prior to the main events of the show.

ACM and our Foundation have decided to invest in future leaders and with the help of gifts from many people. We’ll be offering a scholarship competition later this spring to support the training and travel costs of future leaders in our field.

The Community Media Emerging Leaders Institute will be led by Paula Manley and Toni Tabora-Roberts and will be two full days of leadership training and goal setting for emerging leaders. We picked Paula and Toni to lead the effort because they are two fabulous and experienced facilitators who know community media and personal development.

Who should attend?
• Managers and coordinators in program, administrative or operational roles
• First-time executive directors (less than three years in the role)
• Board members
• Others who are new to leadership and have a desire to develop their potential in a supportive community
While there will be a scholarship competition later this spring, we are opening up spaces for attendees who can pay the training costs of the two-day seminar.

The cost of the training will be $1,100 per person. Space is limited so if you want to reserve a spot, contact me at mwassenaar@allcommunitymedia.org by February 11, 2019.

You can find out more about Paula and Toni and the Institute online.

I hope we’ll see you in Portland!
