ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF SIX BOARD MEMBERS
(McLean, VA, October 27, 2011) – The Alliance for Community Media (ACM) is pleased to announce the election of six new members to the ACM Board of Directors. By providing critical support services for community media centers, ACM promotes the broader goals of supporting our nation’s communities and provides effective communication through community use of media.

Kathy Bisbee has served as the executive director of Community Media Access Partnership (CMAP.TV) since March 2008. Bisbee has led her team to increase fee-based production services and contracts with education to one-third of the organization’s budget, doubled the membership, created new media curriculum and eight weekly youth media programs, and developed regional and national community media collaborations. |

Jason Daniels is a media artist involved in the field of community media for the past nine years. Currently, he is the first executive director of Easton Community Access Television in Easton, Massachusetts. He also served as the director of Medfield.TV in Medfield, Massachusetts. Prior to his work in Medfield, Jason was the Director of Community Media at Lowell Telecommunications Corporation in Lowell, Massachusetts. |

Scott Magers worked as a professional photographer which led him to an adjunct teaching position on the Navajo Nation. In Hawaii, Magers took a position in the training department at ‘Ōlelo Community Media. He served there for five years before returning to the Midwest. He worked at Access Fort Wayne part-time as a production assistant before he was offered his current position as Daytime Production Coordinator at CATV, the educational access center at IPFW University. |

Lonni Moffet is president of Moffet & Associates where she assists PEG centers and other non-profits with communications planning, technology upgrades, operational processes, messaging, social media, project management, meeting facilitation and needs assessments. Moffet spent 14 years with the City of Takoma Park, Maryland, providing strategic leadership to the City’s government access operations and other communications functions. |

Craig Sinclair is Director of Media Technologies at Amherst Media, where his background in academia and multimedia IT has been essential in harmoniously integrating new approaches with existing solutions, both online and off. Craig was instrumental in rebranding ACTV, by building Amherstmedia.org as part of the Open Media Project and making Amherst Media an Apple Certified Training Center. |

Richard Turner has over 30 years involvement in PEG access and the nonprofit sector. Turner had held various leadership roles including the Western and Mid Atlantic regions. He currently serves on two nonprofit boards serving youth media makers and documentary makers. Richard previously was Executive Director of a PEG nonprofit and currently works for Tightrope Media Systems. |
