Weekly News From the President: Community Media Day
ACM’s Public Policy Action Update & Upcoming Call
If you haven’t done so yet, please look at ACM’s Public Policy Action Update on the FCC that was sent out this last week. We’ll be talking about next steps for all PEG channels this Thursday on our regularly scheduled public policy call. If you haven’t been on the calls in the past, now is the time to get involved or get other folks involved from your station.
The call is this always on the first Thursday of the month at 4:00 pm ET, so put it in your calendar. I will send out invites ahead of the call. Please let me know if you want to be on the member invite list, or if there are other folks in your organization who should get an invite.
Community Media Day
You’re planning Community Media Day activities, right? The third annual Community Media Day is taking place on Saturday, October 20. If you need ideas on how to celebrate community media in your town, go to https://www.communitymediaday.org/.
And be sure to list your organization as a partner that is hosting festivities! Take a moment and visit their partner’s web page so we can show off what’s happening across the US!
ACM NE Region Conference & Trade Show
I’m looking forward to seeing ACM members at the ACM Regional Conference in Schenectady, NY next week at Proctors, the regional arts organization that hosts public access there.
There’s still time to register at http://acm-ne.org/. It should be great!
