Weekly News From the President: Help ACM Invest in Young Community Media Talent
Help ACM Invest in Young Community Media Talent
Want to join ACM in making a bet?
We’re making a bet that investing in people and ideas will help grow our cause – vibrant, community-based media that serve local needs and local folks not served by other media in every American community.
Between now and the end of April, we’re asking folks around the country to take that bet by making a tax-deductible gift to the ACM Foundation’s Grassroots Scholarship Fund. We hope to raise $2,000 between now and May to support travel costs and professional development for people who work at centers that don’t always have the resources to encourage that personal growth.
Make your gift online today. This support will help folks travel to our National Conference in Baltimore this summer, and will help other people in the future!
Thanks for betting with us!
ACM Western Regional Conference Recap
It was great to visit Sacramento and meet with so many ACM members at the ACM West Conference this past week! The presentations from members on partnership and organizational change were thought provoking. I enjoyed talking with the vendors regarding technical developments in our field.
A big thank you to the board leadership at ACM West, and to Gary Martin and the staff at Access Sacramento for the hospitality and hosting the ACM Board of Directors meeting there as well!
