Weekly News from the President: Join us for the “New Charter” Webinar
Join us for the “New Charter” Webinar
I’d like to invite you to join ACM on Wednesday September 30 at 4:00 pm ET for a webinar about “New Charter” and what you and your community can do to protect PEG community media.
We’ll talk about the proposed merger of Charter Communications, Time Warner Cable and Brighthouse Network, Charter’s public interest track record and what the merger could mean for community access television. And we’ll outline how your organization and community can be involved in the approval process for the merger.
The webinar is free and not limited to ACM members, but pre-registration is required. Register here https://www.anymeeting.com/AccountManager/RegEv.aspx?PIID=EC51DE8583473B and join us next Wednesday.
If you can’t make the webinar, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can discuss what you can do to help protect community media.
Your public policy efforts are getting noticed in the trade press. There was a nice article in today’s edition of Communications Daily http://www.communicationsdaily.com/ about the MVPD proceeding before the FCC. The perspectives of Montgomery County, Maryland, Murfreesboro Tennessee and Maui County, Hawaii all were mentioned in the article. Great work! There’s still time to be heard on the issue. Let me know if you want a copy of our comments template to send to the Commission.
