ALLIANCE FOR COMMUNITY MEDIA CONGRATULATES FCC COMMISSIONER MIGNON CLYBURN
(McLean, VA, January 2, 2012) – The Alliance for Community Media (ACM) congratulates Commissioner Mignon Clyburn on her confirmation by the U.S. Senate to serve as Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a second term. She was first appointed to the Commission in 2009, and has been an outspoken advocate for public, educational and governmental cable channels.
Keri Stokstad, Chair, ACM Board of Directors, commented, “Commissioner Clyburn has worked tirelessly to protect local voices and preserve community media, for which we owe her a debt of gratitude.”
