2018 Call for Nominations
The Alliance for Community Media is now seeking nominations for two At-Large seats on the National Board. Board members help ACM advance its mission to advocate, promote and preserve the right to media training, production, distribution, civic engagement and education in support of diverse community voices, through Public, Educational and Government Access channels and other forms of media.
Interested? Read the 2018 ACM Board Summary of Responsibilities for details. Candidates for these two-year positions are confirmed by a vote of ACM members in good standing, with terms beginning at the National Board’s Meeting in November 2018.
Complete the 2018-2019 ACM Board Nomination/Petition Form to nominate yourself or someone else. Nominations will be accepted through 1:30 pm EST on Thursday, July 12, 2018.
To nominate yourself, simply complete the form and follow the instructions that will be emailed to you.
To nominate someone else, find four other ACM members to support your nomination and complete the online form. Further instructions will be emailed to your nominee.
Qualifications and Basic Expectations
- Board members must be Individual, Lifetime, Organizational or Secondary members of the Alliance for Community Media.
- Board Members may not be a paid staff member of the ACM.
- The ACM National Board is a policy governance board requiring hands-on management of the organization.
- Board members are expected to participate actively in board and committee meetings, be faithful ambassadors and communicators of the organization’s positions, contribute meaningfully to helping the organization achieve its fund and leadership development goals, and exercise proper fiduciary care.
