The Foundation of the Alliance for Community Media announced today that Kwame McDonald will be posthumously awarded the 2012 Jewell Ryan-White Award for Cultural Diversity. The Jewell Ryan-White Award for Cultural Diversity is given annually to an individual who has shown exemplary leadership by encouraging, facilitating, or creating culturally diverse involvement in the field of community media. McDonald will be recognized as the recipient of the Jewell Ryan-White Award for Cultural Diversity on August 1 during the 2012 ACM Conference & Exhibition in Chicago.
